Catalina State Park
This location offers a beautiful view of the Catalina mountains. It does have bathrooms on sight. Session can take place during sunrise and sunset. There is little to no hiking here as it is only a short walk to beautiful views. Your pups are allowed as long as they are on leash. If you are wanting room for your little ones to freely run around there is the perfect spot in a wash with white sand and right behind it are beautiful mountain views. Right by there parking lot is an area where there are cacti but it does require a small walk uphill. There is an entrance fee depending on how many occupants there are in your vehicle.
Saguaro National Park (East)
Here you will find a huge array of Saguaros. This location is on the east side of town. There are tons of little pull offs along the way. This locations offers a ton of variety from Saguaros to rock structures to mountains. Depending on which view you choose there may be an entrance fee required. There are restrooms at the entrance near the ticketing booth.
Saguaro National Park (West)
Here you will find a huge array of Saguaros. This location is on the west side of town. There are tons of little pull offs along the way. Pups are allowed as long as they remain on a leash and are on the paved walkway. This side of the park tends to be much calmer than the east side location. There are restrooms at the visiting center.
Private Property near Sabino Canyon
This property near Sabino Canyon is truly something special. So quiet and peaceful. The property is home to horses and Highland cows that can be included in your session for an added cost, along with chickens and goats that roam freely. It’s the perfect secluded western setting if you’re wanting something more private and unique. The sunset here are absolutely stunning, with the sun peeking through the trees in the most magical way. Will have an additional fee.
Mt Lemmon
If you're looking to beat the Arizona heat then Mt lemmon is the place for you. Session can take place morning, afternoon and evening (sunset). It has a ton of different sceneries along with stunning views that overlook Tucson. It is the perfect spot if you are looking to have greenery or if you are wanting snow filled pictures in the winter. It can be about a 30-60 minute drive depending on which part of Tucson you are coming from. It does have restrooms at some the the rest areas.
Sonoita
This locations offers stunning open fields. It also can be a bit cooler than in the heart of Tucson. Here you will find an array of backgrounds such as open fields, greenery(depending on the time of year, barns/ rustic buildings. This locations offers a beautiful golden hour sunset.
Gates Pass
This locations offers stunning views of both cacti and mountains. There are tons of pull outs that offer amazing views. This location is perfect whether you wanting a sunrise or sunset session. During sunrise the sun will rise right above the mountains and during sunset it will light up the mountains beautifully. The first 6 images are from sunrise. The rest are from sunset.
Sabino Canyon
If you are wanting a mixture of cacti and mountains this location is perfect. If you have small children where they may require a stroller this location offers paved walkways. I highly recommend this location in the spring/ early summer as it tends to get really green. There are also restrooms located near the parking lot as well as vending machines.
Kingan Gardens
This location is perfect if you’re wanting to escape the desert scenery and step into a beautiful greenery-filled escape. Nestled in downtown Tucson. It offers a completely different vibe with lush landscapes, charming architecture, and so many stunning spots throughout the property.
Weekdays work best for sessions here since it is also a wedding venue and we want to make sure there are no events taking place during your session. One of my favorite things about this location is the variety it offers. From elegant building details to beautiful greenery, every corner photographs so beautifully and gives your gallery lots of variety.
This is a list of some of the most popular locations my clients tend to choose. There are some other locations throughout town that are beautiful whether you are wanting more greenery or something closer to your home.
